US

The populace laments of imperfection,
Complaining more and more about all the things we need
We raise our voices high, but we don't know why our desires can't be satisfied
We live such a tough life, indeed.

And yet every single morning we awake to a life of luxury
As the mindset permeates, it contaminates, materialism is our fate
We're helpless to the power of our greed.

Everywhere I see prosperity blinding our lives
Until we get a new point of view, we won't fully realize

That's why I'm sick of what's valued in this country
Possessions dictate social hierarchy
Every day's the same, we play the game, our lives are so fucking lame
We've got to change our mentality.

Everywhere I see prosperity blinding our lives
Until we get a new point of view, we won't fully realize

The possessions we accrue have insignificant value
And every time that we decide, we're neglecting what's inside
The wealth that we bless is just hollow happiness
There's no concept of the deception in our lives

Our mentality requires reconstruction
Our progeny needs our responsibility
It's not too late to name our fate
Our virtues will proliferate
We'll reclaim our true humanity!
